Our Story
For Guiding Gardens, that seed was planted when I embraced Islam. Like many reverts, I found myself asking, "How do I actually live this beautiful religion every day?" I knew Islam had transformed my heart, but I struggled to understand how to weave it into the life I had already been living. At times, I felt as though becoming Muslim meant leaving behind every part of who I was and starting over.
As I continued seeking knowledge, my perspective began to change.
I discovered that Islam is not a collection of isolated acts of worship—it is a complete way of life. The more I learned, the more I realized that Islam doesn't ask us to abandon ourselves. Instead, it provides guidance, purpose, and structure that enrich every aspect of our lives.
I began to see that even ordinary moments could become extraordinary acts of worship. Preparing a nourishing meal, caring for my body, organizing my home, resting with intention, strengthening family relationships, pursuing knowledge, and serving my community all became opportunities to seek the pleasure of Allah.
That realization changed everything.
Guiding Gardens was created to help Muslim women cultivate lives where faith is woven into everyday living—not as something separate from life, but as the foundation of it. Whether you are a new revert trying to find your footing, someone who has been Muslim your entire life, or a woman looking to reconnect with intentional living, this space was created for you.
I also recognize that every woman learns differently. As someone who understands the challenges of navigating life while learning and growing, I want Guiding Gardens to be a welcoming place for women from diverse backgrounds, including those who are neurodivergent. My hope is to make learning about Islam and wellness feel approachable, encouraging, and practical.
My prayer is that every resource, article, and guide found here helps you draw closer to Allah while caring for the body, mind, and soul He has entrusted to you.
Because when Allah is at the center of our lives, wellness becomes more than self-care—it becomes an act of worship.
